Have you ever wondered what to wear to the March Dance? Have you ever stood at your closet and wondered what you’re  going to wear for the dance?

Students and teachers are going to have the Spring Dance on March 14. Here are some outfit ideas recommended by middle schoolers, high schoolers and teachers. If you don’t find it useful, follow the theme, “spring formal and glow sticks,” where you wear black and get glow sticks.

What do middle schoolers recommend?

Isabella Guillen, a 6 grade student, recommended loose dresses or sundresses. “You should wear dresses that are big, but not that big,” said Guillen.

Noah Ledesma, another 6th grader, recommended a few outfits for boys to wear. “They should wear a suit or tank top with button down shirt and cargo,” said Ledesma.

 What do high schoolers recommend?

Queydalyn Taveras, a junior, recommended anything that has to do with decades’ themes. “For the outfit I would recommend wearing baggy jeans, an over-sized jacket or jersey, and accessories like some chunky jewelry,” Taveras said.

“Wear something that’ll make your mother proud,” said freshman Bakari Donaldson. “Wear something so you don’t look homeless, maybe dress formally.”

What do teachers recommend?

Ms. Murphy, the 6th grade ELA teacher, said to wear something “springish –no school uniform.” Most teachers agreed with her.

Mr. Gutierrez, a high school Spanish teacher, said to wear something that “represents your personality and is comfortable.” Gutierrez added, “It doesn’t matter what people think.”

If you have trouble picking an outfit, you can go to the CHAH Closet event in Ms. Macknight’s room on Thursday March 6th or Friday March 7th for ideas and outfits. Make sure to dress for yourself and not for anyone else.
