LOVEMAIL is a way of writing appreciation letters to your peers and teachers. Students and teachers can write letters to others. This will happen from now through Thursday, February 12th. You can write and submit letters in a box outside the PTA room Tuesday-Thursday mornings. SGA is running this event so people can feel included during Valentine’s Day.
If you don’t think you’ll be able to make it that early in the morning, there will also be alternative times. Ms. Tiffany Macknight, CHAH Visual Arts teacher, says “The grade team leader can come and get supplies so the kids can do it during advisory.” SO remember that you can write in advisory, if you have any extra time. Only some advisors will have picked up supplies so far, so make sure to ask yours! Also any advisors make sure to stop by as well. SGA would love to make sure there’s a lot of letters this year. The more letters, the more kind words and appreciation.
There is another time that you can send letters, so if you still can’t find a time, don’t worry. Macknight also said, “On the last week of school, we’ll go into the lunch room to write letters and the art room will be open after school to write letters as well.” This will give many more opportunities, so please try to come and write. This year SGA has already collected a lot; roughly 1,000 papers have been cut for materials. Numbers are at a high so write a letter or two this year!
If you are having trouble figuring out what to write, SGA member, Sarahi Hilario, said “People can write to a teacher or a friend about appreciation or their gratitude towards that friend.”
LOVEMAIL is all about gratitude, happy thoughts, and kind words so make sure to show a bit of that this February. LOVEMAIL is also free during all days, so as many letters as you want can be written.
Show your appreciation towards your friend(s) this February and participate in CHAH LOVEMAIL. Have a great Valentine’s OR Galentine’s day everyone!
