Why Bad Bunny deserved Latin Album of the Year

My thoughts about this album is that it’s nothing but a 10/10. It blends culture with a united meaning no matter what background people come from; it delivers deep meaningful lyrics with music videos tied to his culture. The album delivers unique beats for people to dance, relax or even just to appreciate its vibe. But those who want to “feel”, the message behind certain tracks gives that longing and reveals so much more.

My first reason is, the album’s most streamed track has connected people around the world with the emotional lyrics and sound. The track “DeBi TiRAR MaS FOTos” easily carries the message of this album because it talks about the feeling of grief or longing to someone or something. This has united and started a trend of people sharing their loved ones like family, friends or pets that they’ve lost creating a sense of unity that people can connect with as the lyric goes “Debí tirar más fotos de cuando te tuve, Debí darte más besos y abrazos las veces que pude Ey, ojalá que los míos nunca se muden, Y si hoy me emborracho, pues, que me ayuden”. This also connects me with so many memories even if those who I care about are still here. In the special moments from years ago, I have this desire of “I should’ve appreciated those times and done a lot more”. This song holds so many emotions and comfort to me but this connects to the album cover of Two plastic chairs representing like family reunions outside celebrating whatever with those plastic chairs.

My second reason is, The albums unique style of reggaeton having every track shine its own style even if they follow a similar rhythm. Tracks like ketu tecre and perfumito Nuevo follow a similar beat but with different styles. With the electronic beats it has to offer, the album also offers traditional salsa like the song, baile inolvidable. The direction of this album is what makes it unique and makes it a 10/10 me personally. It truly deserves latin grammy of the year in my opinion because no other album did what bad bunny did in his but also in my personal opinion is overall an amazing album to dance, enjoy or even cry to.

I would most definitely recommend this album to others, even those who don’t speak any Spanish or understand it, because you can still enjoy the sound production of each song or even dance to them. I wasn’t a fan of bad bunny until I listened to debi tirar mas fotos and un verano sin ti. I would highly recommend those two albums especially un verano sin ti because its such a wonderful bright album with much happier vibes.
