The Knicks Magical Run

The New York Knicks’ season in 2024-2025 was exciting but it officially ended , reaching the Conference Finals for the first time in 25 seasons. With their new team they built during this off season the Knicks have  played their best basketball at home in Madison Square Garden in New York City in a long time. They have beaten tough teams throughout the playoffs. Reaching the Conference Finals is a big accomplishment since it means that they are one of the top four teams in the league. People are cheering at this success and hope that the team can keep their great performance.

“I feel like it’s a good thing the New York Knicks are going to the conference finals because they haven’t made it to the conference finals in like 20 years,”  said Lewis Gomez, a high school basketball player for the school of Community Health Academy of the Heights.

Through October 2024, the New York Knicks started their 2024-25 season really well. The team has been playing good defense and getting better at scoring points thanks to their new coaches. The top players like Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the new Rookies players have been doing an amazing job. The Knicks are showing they are tough and ready to compete, and they want to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

Even though they’ve had some problems, like players getting hurt and not always playing perfectly, most people think the team is strong and has a good chance to have a winning season. “Yes, I believe in the Knicks because they have an new team and their team is better than last year’s team,” said Gomez.

The Knicks 2024-25 Season has officially ended. They lost the conference finals to the Pacers. The Knicks have made massive improvement since last season. The Knicks lost in the second round last season and this season the Knicks made it all the way to the conference finals. The Knicks have made massive improvement throughout the years, and “probably next year we can make it all the way to the finals,” said Gomez.
