Stranger Things Finale and Season 5 Review

Stranger things is a very popular show right now as some may know. Season 5 has recently come out and it was CRAZY. A bunch of different opinions on the season have been shared on it so why not do the same.

Overall, I believe that the season was incredible. But the plotholes though. Lots and lots of fans were really disappointed in the ending. Honestly I am too. There were so many other amazing and much more interesting and smart theories of ways they could’ve ended it but instead they left it on a cliffhanger with the possibility of all the main cast being alive. 

I’m all for them staying alive. I love all of the main cast but seriously it’s so unrealistic. They’ve been hunted down for years, since they were in 7th grade to graduating high school yet none of them have died. Also the show would’ve just been better if two at minimum died. The grief they would feel would be so good to see on screen. Even making it seem more interesting because now they’re short a few people and could end up losing. Of course they wouldn’t but the fear and suspense from the fact that they could, would be good for the plot. 

Personally I think that the “Vecna is controlling us” theory is the most possible and should’ve happened but it didn’t of course. Some of the other theories I will talk about are inspired from other people but I can’t find many. The one I’ll talk about now comes from @in_the_west_7 on tiktok. This theory is that the finale would’ve been a fourth wall break and just a mix of all the gates. Basically the “missing scenes” that stranger things supposedly had were missing on purpose, since Vecna’s thing is that he messes with ur mind. That Vecna was twisting Will’s memories into his and that’s why some things were messed up when Will was talking about things the main group had done together (milkshake gate). Will will end up still being flayed and both him and kali will be traitors. The main part of this theory though is that Vecna has wiped our minds and twisted things. That we’re flayed ourselves and all the missing and strange scenes are from us having our memories wiped and twisted. 

A BUNCH of people were making theories on how the show would end and let’s just say all those theories were dead wrong. Not because the finale was better but because it was worse. There were a bunch of ways they could’ve ended it which the fans proved. I am just so disappointed. The Duffer brothers couldn’t have done worse. It was a flop and just annoying to watch. The plot holes were terrible. They built up years and years of peak entertainment just to let us all down. It IS and outrage and I just can’t believe it.
