We interviewed students at CHAH on April 1st, 2026 at 12:00pm. The purpose of these interviews was to know about students’ mental health after the phone ban and how they feel. Interviews were done throughout the school day in different rooms.
“I feel like I’m more focused in class and engage more with my fellow peers,” said Marianna Bello. She feels that her mental health and social life has improved positively.
“Without my phone, there’s no difference. It’s just that I don’t have my phone, “said Lissandro Ramirez. He feels as if there is more to the world than just being on your phone all the time.
“Yo cambiaría que… O sea, que no tenga el teléfono. Pero que no lo saquemos. O sea, tengamos límites. Que tengamos límites para sacarlo, básicamente,” (I would change that… I mean, that he doesn’t have the phone. But that we don’t take it out. I mean, that we have limits. That we have limits on taking it out, basically) said Asdrubal Perez.
