I interviewed Elder Cayetano, 18, a student who is currently a junior in the 11th grade, who goes to Community Health Academy of the Heights. Throughout the interview, we talked primarily about his lifestyle and hobbies that he tends to do in his free time, as well as events that are currently going on in his life that may be seen as relevant to what some of his hobbies are. I was most interested in how Elder was currently living and what kinds of hobbies he does in his free time. I also showed interest in his childhood, and asked a little bit about what he grew up on. My angle for this profile will be Elder’s current lifestyle and how he has been currently living.
“I miss being a kid… It was so much funner than how it is now,” says Cayetano, 18. That was a quote from my interviewee, Elder Cayetano, a student at CHAH who is in his junior year of high school, as he was talking about his childhood. I was able to talk to him a little about things he grew up on, as well as how his current life is going. Some activities that he does in his free time are watch videos online, play video games and from time-to-time, go out to the park are important to him because it makes his days more enjoyable and meaningful.
“It’s just something I like to do whenever I have nothing else to do,” said Cayetano. “I like to just download certain games from online and play them on whatever emulator.”
Some challenges that Elder dealt with was having to switch instruments during his music class. “It was just an embarrassing situation,” says Cayetano. “I shouldn’t have been called out mid-class for that.”
Finally, I asked Elder about what he may consider doing after high school and what he may be interested in, but he is currently unsure on what he wants to do. Although, he is looking forward to hopefully finding something that best suits him. I am hoping for nothing but the best for Elder’s future and I am glad I was able to learn a little more about him during this interview.
“I want to be able to do something that I am interested in,” says Cayetano.

I loved the quote he gave about being a kid because we are all growing up and miss childhood so it was nice to read about doing something he is interested in.
