I interviewed asdrubal and we talked about alot of things but one thing that stood out to me and caught my attention was his love for baseball . This is a great part of his life that I had never known about . My angle for this profile will be asdrubal’s love for baseball and how it shapes/ changes his life now.
On june 8 i interviewed asdrubal at 12pm in the library and we talked about his love for baseball . he was saying how he started loving baseball when he came to the states from his original hometown dominican republic. “ i came to the states when i was young , there wasn’t anything really interesting here until my dad took me to the yankee stadium , thats when my love for baseball started.’’said perez.
During the interview, it became clear that Asdrubal is a loyal, determined, and outgoing person who values family, friendships, and personal growth. His love for the New York Yankees comes from both his family and where he lives. Asdrubal explained, “Because my dad likes them, and because I’m in their city.” This shows that family influences him greatly and that he takes pride in supporting his hometown team.Asdrubal also has many interests and hobbies that keep him active and entertained. In his free time, he enjoys playing baseball, listening to music, playing video games, and spending time outdoors with his friends. He said, “I play baseball, listen to music, and I love to play video games and have fun outside with my friends.” These activities reveal that he enjoys both teamwork and socializing, while also making time to relax and have fun.
Baseball is one of the most important parts of Asdrubal’s life. He enjoys the sport because it constantly teaches him new skills and lessons. Asdrubal shared, “I love playing baseball because I keep learning, especially about what I don’t know how to do.” This quote demonstrates his growth mindset and willingness to improve. One of his achievements is his ability to overcome obstacles and continue pursuing the sport he loves despite setbacks. One of the biggest challenges Asdrubal faced was a serious leg injury that kept him from playing baseball for nearly six months. He recalled, “I injured my left leg, and I couldn’t play for almost six months. Those months were torture without baseball.” Despite this difficult experience, he stayed committed and eventually returned to the game.
