Humans of CHAH: Lailanni Rodriguez

Some people enjoy sports, music, or reading in their free time. My interviewee enjoys watching TV shows and movies. She watches them almost everyday and likes genres such as thriller, romance and horror. Watching television is one of her favorite ways to relax and spend her free time.

During the interview I learned that TV shows are more than just entertainment for her. She enjoys following interesting storylines and watching different characters develop throughout a series. She especially likes crime related shows because they keep her interested and explain events in deeper details. Out of all the places she could watch TV, she prefers watching at home because it is where she feels the most  comfortable.

One thing that stood out to me was her reason for rewatching certain shows. While many people move on to something new after finishing a series she likes going back and watching some of her favorites again. She explained “ I rewatch some  shows because they bring back good memories” . This quote stood out to me because it shows that television has an important personal meaning in her life. Some shows remind her of different experiences and happy moments.

Another thing I learned is that she enjoys a variety of genres. Whether it is thriller, romance, or horror show she likes stories that keep her entertained. Watching television has become a regular part of her everyday routine and it gives her something to look forward to each day. She also enjoys discussing shows with friends and family who watch similar programs. 

One challenge she faces is finding enough time to keep up with all the shows and movies she enjoys. Even with a busy schedule she still makes time for her favorite hobby. Over the years she has watched many different genres and discovered the types of shows that interest her the most. Her dedication to keeping up with her favorite shows, shows how much she enjoys this hobby.

In the future, she hopes to continue discovering new TV shows and movies that interest her. She enjoys exploring different genres and wants to keep finding stories and characters that keep her entertained. She is always open to recommendations and enjoys finding new favorites to add to her watch list. 

Another thing that makes television important to her is the way it helps her relax. After a busy day she enjoys sitting down and watching a show that interests her. Having a hobby that she enjoys gives her a chance to take a break and focus on something fun.

Overall, the person I interviewed loves TV shows and movies, showing how a hobby can become an important part of someone’s life. For her, watching television is not only entertaining but also relaxing and meaningful because of the memories connected to her favorite shows.
